Meet Mrs. Villano

Mrs. Christie Villano

I am really looking forward to the fun and exciting learning that will take place in Room 118!  I am a 6th grade science teacher on the yellow team.  It is my hope to instill the love of science, as well as provide a classroom environment that encourages curiosity.

I started my teaching career in 1994.  Prior to my current position as science teacher at MNMS, I taught 5th grade at Spring Creek Elementary School. I have always loved science, so I am excited to continue teaching what I love!  I attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and received a B.S. in Elementary Education.  I have a K-6 teaching certificate.

My husband, Von, and I live in Altoona, PA.  I am a proud mom of two children, Nicholas and Marissa.  I’m a dog lover and adore my canine kids, Asher and Luna.  I am a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, love traveling, and enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  Three words that would describe me: friendly, energetic, and hardworking.
