The National Junior Art Honors Society

njah

The National Junior Art Honor Society (NJAHS) is designed specifically for middle school and junior high school students (grades 6-9).

In 1989, the National Art Education Association began the National Junior Art Honor Society program
to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art
and to generate interest in art programs at the secondary level and beyond.

The National Junior Art Honor Society is the middle school chapter that will meet after school at MNMS.

• This year, we will elect officers, and the group will participate in leadership work and consensus bulding to decide what kinds of projects and fundraisers we will have.

• We hope to find befriend a 'sister' school and reach out to Art students in other parts of the world.

• Our NJAHS will also participate in charitable fundraising to support a good cause by making and selling our Art.

At the high school level, students can join the National Art Honors Society.
