Choirs
Sixth Grade Choir is an elective course. While the goal of this choir is to build on the skills and techniques learned in elementary choir, new singers are always welcome! Singers have the opportunity to sing a varied repertoire of music in multiple languages. The Sixth Grade Choir will perform in two to three concerts per year.
7th Grade Choir - Nathan Glocke
7th Grade Choir is a fast-paced and engaging elective course that meets in two sections twice a cycle and gives two to three performances per year. Singers are introduced to 3-part (SAB) repertoire, as well as quality 2-part music from a variety of cultures, time periods and styles. All students are welcome regardless of their singing or performance backgrounds.
8th Grade Choir Jonah Klixbull
8th Grade Choir is an elective course. Singers learn and perform repertoire in 3 and 4 parts, advance their vocal technique, sight sing, and evaluate themselves and other choirs. Assessment is made through small and large group performances. The ensemble meets in two sections at least twice a cycle and performs two to three times a year. Singers may also audition to participate in Centre County Choir Festival.
