Welcome to Mount Nittany Middle School, home of the Little Lions! Our school motto is “We ROAR All Day … Every Day!” We follow our school wide positive support behavior program ROAR (Responsibility, Organization, Attitude, Respect). Fun fact: We have the best view of Mount Nittany in the district.

State High Principal Laura Tobias has been named Pennsylvania’s 2025 Principal of the Year by the Pennsylvania Principals Association.

The Virtual Academy provides students with all the benefits and opportunities of being a member of the State College Area School District and the flexibility to create a learning schedule that meets their needs.

This fall, a new type of alternative bus has been arriving at Corl Street Elementary School, powered by enthusiasm as strong as any hybrid or electric engine. It’s a walking school bus, a pilot initiative where retirees and parents accompany children to school.

Park Forest TSA members perennially shine on the regional, state and national stages, racking up an impressive record in a wide array of categories. Last June, to conclude the 2023-2024 school year, the chapter claimed two national champions.

Bomb squad representatives discussed their training, equipment, and procedures for examining a suspicious object and defusing explosives when on a call for State High students.
